Explore the updates to Dynamics 365 Business Central for 2020 due for general release in April!

Planned for release between the months of April and September 2020, there are lots of features available for Business Central wave 1 2020. We are very excited about what Microsoft have been developing as every release brings a host of new functionality!

Under the 'Enabled for' column, the definitions are as follows:

  • 'End users, automatically' - these new features are applied automatically and enhance the experience of the end user
  • 'Admins, makers, or analysts, automatically' - these new features are applied automatically but for admins, makers or analysts, rather than end users
  • 'End users by admins, makers or analysts' - to become available for end users, these new features have to be enabled or configured by admins, makers or analysts

Application enhancements

Microsoft are constantly working on improvements based on the feedback they receive from users. This wave of enhancements, for example, includes improvement to bank reconciliation functionality from suggestions posted to their own ideas site. Country and regional availability

As companies around the world choose Business Central, country and regional availability is key. Therefore, Microsoft are always developing for this and plan to make six new regionalisations available in the April 2020 release.

Migrations to Business Central online

Microsoft will continue to enhance the application through their focus on performance in the most used areas. The Dynamics 365 Business Central Ideas site continues to be a source for application enhancements.
